For Students

What age do I need to be to join the programs?

We have programs for ages 10-14 (Bootcamps), 15-19 (Extracurricular), 20-24+ (Scholarships) +25 & above (Fellowships).

Do I need to be good at video games to join?

No! We help you discover your unique strengths, from your passion for video games. Every gamer has a superpower.

How do I know which career path is right for me?

Our discovery process helps map your interests to four verticals: Creative Arts, Esports & Entertainment, Infrastructure Technology or Skilled Trades.

What happens at the bi-annual bootcamps?

Hands-on discovery sessions where you'll explore the mechanics behind video games, try different roles, and find what excites you most.

What's the difference between Bootcamps, Extracurricular, Scholarships & Fellowships?

Bootcamp (discover) → Extracurricular (develop) → Scholarship (go global) → Fellowship (accelerate).

How much time do I need to commit?

- Bootcamp: Holiday 60 hrs/cycle Jul–Aug & Nov–Dec.
- Extracurricular: Weekends 48 hrs/year Sep–Apr Saturdays.
- Scholarships: Process Based, Rolling Basis.
- Fellowships: Process Based, Rolling Basis.

Will I get to work on real projects?

From day one in Bootcamps, you're building. By Extracurricular, you're producing work you can show. By Fellowships and Scholarships, you're connecting with industry. The progression is deliberate.

Can I switch between career tracks?

Absolutely. Our ecosystem is designed for exploration before specialization.

What jobs can I get after completing The Scholarship program?

The actual jobs available to you will depend heavily on which institution you're placed into and which country you study in. That's a conversation worth having during the Discovery and Alignment phases, where your interests, strengths, and direction are assessed and matched to a suitable pathway.

Do you help with study-abroad university applications?

Yes — that's essentially the core promise of the Scholarships program.

The program provides end-to-end placement into vocational institutions, colleges, or universities across creative arts, esports & entertainment, infrastructure technology, and skilled trades, guiding participants from discovery through to successful enrollment and transition.

Can I study abroad through Pathfinder Agency?

Pathfinder Agency handles the entire process — from figuring out what you want to study, matching you to the right institution abroad, supporting your application, tracking your offer, and staying with you through enrollment and beyond.

What is the Pathfinder Agency Pass?

Your certificate of participation that signals workforce readiness.

Where are programs conducted?

On-site at our pathfinder lab, located within Vivid Gold, in Marurui - Thome, Nairobi - Kenya.

How much does it cost?

Contact us via what's app on 011 4243376 / 011 534 3779 for current program costs or funded opportunities.

Can I join if I'm already in university?

Yes, The Fellowship is designed for young adults aged (20-24+) including university students seeking hands-on specialization.

For Parents

Is this just about playing video games all day?

No. Students learn the skills behind gaming. Example: design, event management, and technical infrastructure.

How is this different from regular gaming?

We provide structured guidance that traditional education lacks, turning passion into productive skill development with clear career outcomes.

What age should my child start?

Start at Bootcamp (10–14), flow into Extracurricular (15–19), and by the time they're post-secondary they have a clear specialization and a track record — making them a much stronger Scholarship candidate.

Will this distract from my child's schoolwork?

Our programs are designed to complement education, weekend clubs and bi-annual bootcamps that enhance rather than replace schooling.

How do you address screen time concerns?

We focus on holistic well-being and sustainable performance, not excessive screen time.

Is my child safe in your programs?

Safety is foundational to our ecosystem. We shed light on pathways, trusted partnerships, and measurable impact with full transparency.

What about online safety and digital wellness?

Our well-being sessions specifically addresses healthy digital habits, mental health, and balanced technology use.

Will universities recognize this training?

No. Our bootcamps & extracurricular programs are informal capacity-building trainings, and participants receive certificates of participation.

Can this lead to traditional careers or just gaming?

Video games is the vehicle, not the destination. A child who goes through the full Pathfinder pathway could just as plausibly end up as a software engineer at a bank, a UI designer at a startup, or a network administrator at a hospital — as they could a professional esports coach or game developer.

The career ceiling is determined by the track they choose and how far they take it — not by the fact that it started with video games.

How do you measure success?

The measurement infrastructure exists — monitoring tools, certification frameworks, progress tracking, SDG alignment — but public-facing outcome data isn't on the site yet. This is because the programs are still in early cycles.

What are the costs involved?

Contact us on what's app 011 4243376 / for detailed pricing or funded opportunities.

Is there financial aid available?

We aim to make pathway programs accessible. Contact us to discuss funded opportunities.

Where are programs held?

On-site at our pathfinder lab, located in Marurui - Thome, Nairobi - Kenya.

What if my child wants to change career paths later?

The earlier they are in the pathway, the easier a pivot is. The programs are structured to delay specialization until a young person genuinely knows what they want — which is actually more thoughtful than most traditional education systems. But for Scholarship-level decisions, the conversation about flexibility is one to have directly with the team before committing to a track.

How do you ensure my child acquires the skill set?

We combine structured lessons, hands-on practice, continuous guidance, and measurable outcomes to ensure your child develops meaningful, practical skills, not just attendance.
